Create Text
When you create Text, the Properties of that Text will vary depending on the Text Type and the Caption Type.

Type | Description |
---|---|
3D | 3D texts are text overlays that are subject to 3D effects. |

Caption Type
Choose whether the caption is plain TEXT, a static text string derived from an EXPRESSION, or a DYNAMIC TEXT string derived from an expression.
Type | Description |
---|---|
Text | The caption text is manually entered or pasted.. |
Expression |
The caption text is evaluated from an expression and does not subsequently change. Click on the ellipsis to use the Expression Editor to generate a Caption Expression:
|
Dynamic Text |
The caption text is evaluated from a Caption Expression, however the expression itself is stored, rather than the text value. Dynamic text expressions are re-evaluated whenever the design layer or the animation is redrawn.
