CA1: Controlled Areas Logs - Permits
|
This panel presents details of the permits that are active on site for the defined period. A permit is active until it is cancelled. Use this panel to report on controlled area access and review the efficiency of permits on site. Are the defined durations and the workers allocated to controlled areas adequate? |
Sign |
A sign is used to define a restricted access area. Often these are areas where a level of danger exists, for example, where there is limited oxygen, potential for a rock fall, or exposed electrics. |
Permit |
A permit is an authority for a person or people to enter an area. The area may or may not be signed. For example, a permit may be issued to an electrician to repair a switch on the East30 drive, or be issued to a health and safety officer to inspect the new crib room on the 1000 level, or be issued to a welder to stabilise a structure inside the mill. |
Snooze |
If workers exceed the defined exit time for the controlled area, an alarm is raised. Granting the workers an extension of time enables a snooze mode for the sign or permit. An alarm is again sounded when the extended time is exceeded. |
A panel is defined by a set of report parameters and attributes which may vary from site to site: |
