Maintenance

Select the Maintenance option from the Materials Management menu to performs a number of tasks designed to ensure the integrity of the data.

Recalculate Grade

Select this option after importing a significant amount of grade data or to rebuild the links. The internal links that are maintained by the Materials Management service must be rebuilt, for example, whenever the depletion model is changed for a location.

Publish Contained Metal

  • Select this option after grades have been imported to recalculate the Reconciliation value. When grades are calculated for each material transaction, the grade control process also calculates the contained metal values for each element. These are the Material values you see in the Reconciliation option.
  • Once contained metal values have been calculated, they are made available to the Reporting service for inclusion in the Materials Management reports. Publishing ensures that there is no mismatch between the contained metal value across the Pitram services.

If the element is measured in:

    • Parts per million (ppm). The contained metal value is calculated in international troy ounces (ozs or t ozs), where 1 troy ounces = 31.1034768g.
    • Percentage (%). The contained metal value is in tonnes.
