Elemental Grades Importer

Rock types configured in Reference Data are used to define the rows of the Material Observations panel in the Geology Toolkit. The Domain attribute for these rock types is used to map rock types in the elemental grades importer CSV files.

The Elemental Grades Importer is used to import CSV files containing elemental grades for a particular location. These grades are then used in Geology Toolkit observation grade calculations. The tool is accessed from the Stockpile Survey screen:

Before the CSV file can be imported, it must contain a number of values. Below is an example CSV file containing 15 elemental grades (5 rock types or domains * 3 elements).

  • The location of the elemental grade is a concatenation of the first four columns connected with underscore characters. For example the location indicated in red would be 9785_VEN_23_04 in reference data.

Note: The firing column contains the values 04, but Excel removes the leading zero.

  • The domain column maps directly to reference data rock types as shown Here on this page. Domain cannot be repeated for Location/Element/Domain combinations.

  • The imported elements do not need to have the attribute ShowInGeologyToolkit enabled to be imported, but this is required for them to be considered in calculations or Pitram Connect.

The areas highlighted in red relate directly to reference data.

To begin importing a CSV containing elemental grades, click the Import Elemental Grades button. The Upload File prompt is displayed.

Click the Choose File button to select the CSV to be imported.

When the file is selected, click Upload to begin the import process. On completion, an information prompt is displayed.

Click OK to continue.
