Dispatch Weightings

Dispatch weightings are used to aid the decision-making process when trucks are assigned to loaders.

To define Dispatch weightings in Reference Edit, go to Groups | Mobile Settings | DispatchConfiguration. If the DispatchConfiguration node does not exist, you will need to deploy it:

  1. Select Other Actions | Deploy Reference Data from the drop-down box on the navigation header.
  2. Select Configuration Items | Mobile Settings | DispatchConfiguration.
  1. Click OK to save the changes.

To define Dispatch weightings:

  1. Go to Configuration Items | Mobile Settings | DispatchConfiguration on the navigation pane.
  2. Click Checkout on the header.
  3. Select the New Dispatch Configuration option.
  4. Enter a Code, Description and Abbreviation for the new Dispatch Configuration.
  1. Enter the following attribute values:
    Attribute 
      DispatchEnabledIf the value is 1 AND valid weighting values have been defined, the Dispatch system is enabled and will automatically allocate trucks to loaders.
    If the value is 0 AND no weightings are defined, the Dispatch system is NOT ENABLED during the shift.
    If the value is 0 AND at least one weighting is defined, the Dispatch system is running in RECOMMENDATION mode during the shift.
    RECOMMENDATION mode means that any dispatch decisions must be made by the Control Room Operator in Data Acquisition.
    SameLoaderWeighting

    This weighting defines how important it is that a truck remain with its assigned loader.

    For example: 0.10

    MinimiseTimeToLoadWeighting

    It is important that minimum load times are achieved for optimal equipment usage.

    The default is 1.00

    AdhereToPlanWeighting

    This weighting defines the importance of adhering to the tasks defined in the Shift Plan.

    For example: 0.60

    LoaderPriorityWeighting

    A weighting less than 1 will lessen the need to comply with the current loader priority setting

    For example: 0.5

    LocalDispatchEnabled0 (off). Recommended weighting. Dispatch decisions will be made by the system, rather than locally by mobile.
    1 (on). Not recommended. If set to 1, dispatch decisions are made locally at the equipment unit level.
  1. Click OK to apply the settings and exit the dialog..
  2. Select Checkin on the header.
  3. Click Publish on the navigation header to publish your changes.
