Hot Swap

Unless Hot Swap functionality is configured, an operator will be required to Log Off when another operator is replacing them during the shift, or they are going to operate another unit of equipment.

If Hot Swap functionality has been configured, a Hot Swap option is presented (alongside a Log Off option) in a Log Off screen.

A log off may be required when an equipment operator takes a break, or has finished the tasks assigned to him and needs to park-up the unit. To log off, the operator must click the Log Off button in the Log Off screen.

A Hot Swap may be appropriate, for example, when the operator of a truck needs to be quickly replaced by another operator without the need for a break in operation, a change of status, or a log off event.

If necessary, when a hot swap occurs, the operator can still be asked to enter engine hours,

before the replacement operator is prompted to enter his login code:
