Primary States
Each unit of equipment must have a primary status. This status defines the main activity of the unit at the time. Primary states are a hierarchy of states. At the highest level, for example, a unit has either an Operating, Idle or Down status. These status names may vary at your site.
A unit, for example, might have either:
- Operating status. Examples are, Backfilling, Bogging, Tramming and Bolting.
- Idle status. Examples are, Handover, Shift Change and Congestion_Traffic.
- Down status. Example are, Hydraulics, Engine and Steering.
Primary status is defined in Reference Edit under Groups | Configuration Items | States.
