Create Projects

A Nexus project is typically a container for files which serve to achieve a single outcome, for example, a finalised block model or a periodic mining plan. You can link to a project when you integrate other Micromine applications with Nexus.

Version control is applied at the file level.

Note that Nexus project storage is completely independent of workspace library and task storage.

To create a Nexus project:

  1. If necessary, select a workspace as the current workspace:

  1. From the Navigation menu: Click on <the name of the current project> or click on No Project Selected and select Create Project:

Project Properties

Set the following properties of the project:

Workspace

The current workspace is automatically selected. To choose a different workspace, use the drop-down menu.

Project name

Enter a name that clearly identifies the project.

Description

Enter a description that helps further identify the project. Provide some indication of the scope of the activities that will be undertaken in that project.

Finally, click Create to create the project. The project you have created is opened as the current project.
