Priority Queues Algorithm
The existing Lerchs-Grossman Lowest Label (pseudoflow) algorithm for Pit Optimisation has been improved to take advantage of multi-core processing and the 64-bit architecture of modern computers.

Since it was written for 32 bit systems, the LG/LL algorithm provides less memory and less performance, but can be used as a fall-back option or to compare results against newer algorithms. | |
LG/LL Improved | An improved approach to the LG/LL algorithm is designed take advantage of multi-core processing and the 64-bit architecture of modern computers. |
A performance improvement of around 30% is anticipated. |

When outputting staging points on the Mine tab of the Open Pit Optimisation Setup form, parent block information is now written to the Stage Points File so that the output can be displayed as points or as a block model:
