Standards

Execute Configuration Manager | Metadata | Sample Tracker Metadata and select Standards to setup the standards used by Sample Tracker. A standard sample is derived purely for quality control purposes and is not associated with a particular collection site.

To add a standard, select New | Standards from the ribbon menu, or click the Add button on the local toolbar. QC types are mapped to the system QC types configured in the Sample Tracker database, See: QC Types

You can also use the tools on the local toolbar to manage the items in the grid:

Add a new item to the list.

Properties: view or edit the item currently selected in the list.

Delete the item currently selected in the list.

When you add, edit, or remove metadata items, you can click the Refresh button on the ribbon to commit those changes to the underlying database and refresh the Metadata view to show the changes you have made.

Standard Details

To add Standard Details for the current Standard, select New | Standard Expected Results from the ribbon menu, or click the Add button on the local toolbar.

The details of each standard is a material with a known value that can be included in analysis with routine samples as a quality control metric.
