New Task
In this topic we will go through the process of bringing Tasks into Gantt Scheduler, either individually or in bulk. This includes:
-
Creating a Task individually in the Tasks menu
-
Formatting a list of Tasks in Excel to prepare for import
Importing a list of Tasks from a spreadsheet
Creating a Task individually:
-
Select Tasks from the ribbon
-
Click the green Add button on the right of the Tasks Setup window.
-
Edit the properties of the Task:
-
Add a Title.
-
Select the Process.
-
Set a Prime Quantity.
-
(Optional) Set a Rehandle Quantity.
Unique with a Total Quantity
Each Task should be unique (through a combination of the Task Title and Process) and requires a Total Quantity. If the concept of Rehandle does not apply, Prime Quantity and Total Quantity are usually the same.
