Elements

Elements are the commodities or products (i.e. gold, iron, copper, etc.) we are interested in extracting by applying particular processing methods to ore.

Ore is a natural aggregate of one or more minerals that can be mined and profitably sold under current conditions, or from which one or more minerals can be profitably extracted. Before mining proceeds, ore is sampled to provide element grades which can be used to determine the costs and revenues associated with mining and processing.
