Create a user-defined layout

This topic demonstrates some of the features you can use to create your own layout.

Open a defined layout:

  • Select an option from the User Defined Layouts drop-down list.

Display a view and define a time filter

  1. Click View | Location View on the toolbar to display the location activity for the current shift.
  2. Click View | Filter By Time | 4 Hours to apply a quick time-based filter.

Display/Hide columns

  1. Right-click on the column header and select Column Chooser from the context menu. The Customization box appears.
  1. Hide columns by dragging them from the grid view into the Customization dialog.

Redisplay a hidden column

  • Drag the column name that you want to redisplay out of the Customization dialog and drop it onto the header column in the location where you want it displayed.

Rearrange column order

  1. Move a column by clicking a column heading and dragging it horizontally along the column headers until it is in the correct place. Then drop the column. The vertical arrows shown below determine where the chosen column will be dropped.

  1. Click and drag the Equipment column to the right of the Event Source column.
  2. The vertical arrows indicate the destination for the column being dragged.

Highlight rows which match a certain condition

Highlight the rows where: Equipment = BOG02

  1. Select Show advanced colour filter from the colour filter on the toolbar.
  2. The dialog opens.
  1. Click Add Filter... to add a filter line to the dialog.
  1. Select appropriate values from the drop down lists and select a colour by double-clicking on the desired colour box in the dialog.
  1. Click OK to save the colour, then click OK to save the filter. The appropriate events in the view will be highlighted.
