Create a standby duty log
Some permits require the creation of a duty log or duty roster. The duty log will be created by a person authorised to supervise or oversee the activities in a controlled area.
To add people to the standby duty log:
- Select a person from the drop-down list provided.
- Click Add Person.
An entry is added to the duty log and shows the time they were logged in.
- Repeat steps 1 and 2 to add more people to the duty log.
- To close the Add Person form, simply click the mouse outside of the form, or click the Close button in the bottom left corner of the form.
On duty
Note that you can only set a person's Time In when you create a permit. You cannot edit a person's Time In once the permit has been created. However, you can add people to the duty log, and edit a person's Time Out, after the permit has been created.
When you add a person to the duty log, the date and time they came on duty defaults to the current date and time. To set a different Time In:
- Click on the Time In field and modify each component of the date and time using the spin controls provided:
Off duty
Initially, when you add a person to the duty log, the date and time they go off duty is shown as blank. To set a Time Out:
- Click on the Time Out field and modify each component of the date and time using the spin controls provided:
Remove Row
Note that you can only remove rows from the duty log while the permit is being created. Once a permit exists, you cannot remove people from the duty log.
To remove a person from the duty log:
- Click the Remove Row icon to the right of the person's name.
