Screen Layout

The layout of the windows and panes you have opened, resized and repositioned, can be saved as a layout.

On the Window tab, in the Screen Layout group, you can restore the default window layout, save your preferred window layout to a file, or load a preferred window layout.

Restore

Click Restore Default to restore the application's default window layout:

Restore Previous

Click Restore Previous to restore the last window layout that was saved.

Load Layout

To load a saved layout:

  1. On the Window tab, in the Screen Layout group, click Load Layout.

  2. In the Open dialog, navigate to the folder location where the file is located and select the name of the file.
  3. Click Open.

Save Layout

To save the current layout:

  1. On the Window tab, in the Screen Layout group, click Save Layout.

  2. In the Save As dialog, navigate to the folder location where the file will be saved and enter (or select) the name of the file. If you select an existing file it will be overwritten.

    3. A layout is saved as an XML file with a .mmlayout file extension.

  1. Click Save.
