Log-normal limits

Apply to Ln values

Select this check box to define the limits of a graph of data that has been transformed to Natural Logs. Entries are made in Natural Log (Ln) values.

If Apply to Ln values is not selected, the subsequent prompts are disabled. In this case the values defined for those items in relation to raw values are transformed to Natural Log values. These are used as the limits of the graph.

The tick increment is not Natural log transformed but is used as the starting point for a geometrically scaled set of tick marks.

This option will only become active when Display mode is set to NATURAL LOG.

Ln graph minimum and maximum

Enter the natural log values for the start and end of the graph. The minimum value must be greater than 0.

Ln end first bin

Enter the natural log value that defines the upper limit of the first bin.

Ln bin size

This describes the size of each of the bins in the graph in terms of natural logs. Note natural logs (Ln) are logs to the base e.

There may be up to 500 bins. For typical values and their natural logs, see: Normal values vs Natural Logs

Ln graph increment

Enter a natural log value to define the tick and label spacing that will be appear along the X axis of histograms and cumulative frequency curves and the Y axis of probability plots.

By defining the graph of natural log transformed values in terms of natural logs you can produce a better looking graph.
