Exchanging Older Version Form Sets

If you wish to interchange form sets between earlier versions, you will need to use the steps outlined below.

A small number of form sets

To exchange saved form sets between the current version and the previous version (or earlier) after a project has been opened in the current version:

  1. Save the form set in the version of the application you are copying from.
  2. On the Home tab, in the Forms group, select Form Set Manager > Export to export the saved form set to a Micromine Exported Set File (*.mmsetx).

  3. Switch to the application version you are copying to.
  4. On the Home tab, in the Forms group, select Form Set Manager > Import and browse to the .mmsetx file.
  5. If appropriate, enable Import all sets.
  6. Click the Import button to import the form sets.

Many form sets

To exchange many saved form sets between the current version and the previous version:

  1. In the application version you are copying from, on the Home tab, in the Forms group, select Form Set Manager > Export.

  2. Choose from either the All forms or Used in macro export options.
  3. Enter the name of a Form set file.
  4. Switch to the application version you are copying to.
  5. On the Home tab, in the Forms group, select Form Set Manager > Import from and browse to the exported file.
  6. If appropriate, enable Import all sets.
  7. Click the Import button to import the form sets.

Form sets introduced or significantly enhanced in the current version may have no previous equivalent and cannot be shared with earlier versions.

Using the Form Set Manager

Alternatively, use the Form Set Manager to choose individual form sets for exporting:

  1. Save all relevant form sets in the copied-from application version.
  2. On the Home tab, in the Forms group), click Form Set Manager and expand all of the nodes containing form sets to be exported.

  3. Select the form sets and then click the Export button.

  4. On the Home tab, in the Forms group), select Form Set Manager > Import from the main menu in the copied-to application version and browse to the exported file.
  5. If appropriate, enable Import all sets.
  6. Click the Import button to import the form sets.
