Deswik

On the File tab, in the Import group: Click Deswik to import and display data in a variety of Deswik formats. Polyline features and 3D solids can be imported.

File

Click the Select icon to navigate to the location of the input file. You can filter the list of files by choosing a specific file format:

Shapes and Triangulations in the following Deswik file types can be imported:

Format File Extension Notes
Deswik CAD File dcf Zipped XML files that can be processed with an XML reader. Each layer is internally parsed to a separate “file” within the compression.
Deswik Unified File duf Nested zip files.
VDCL Deswik Document vdcl Vector Drawing Compressed Language. VDCL format is superseded by DCF and DUF, however .vdcl files are still in common use.

Layer

All layers will be imported if you accept the default [*] or subsequently enter a wildcard character.

Alternatively, click on the ellipsis button to choose a layer or layers to import. To select multiple layers, hold down the CTRL or the SHIFT key as you select layers with the mouse:
