Block Model

This topic provides a summary of new features and enhancements related to Block Models and Estimation.

Advanced Block Model Report

On the Block Model tab, in the Reports group, a new Advanced Block Model Report has been improved with the addition of various new features:

  • The Swap Row and Column Groups button has been added to the Groups tab to enable the contents of the Row and Group grids to be swapped:

  • Quantity names for Reported Values are now customisable with the addition of a Labels field:

  • A Volume Factor field can now be selected for Single Material mode.

  • Grouping by Labelled Ranges is now supported; along with an Autofill feature for populating the grouping grid.

  • Grouping by Labelled Expressions is now supported.

  • Support for grouping by Material Bin set has been added to allow filtering by fields in the block model.

  • In Multiple Materials mode, when the grid only contains one material, a grade field can now be selected for that material without needing to use the Material Grade Fields embedded set.

  • The Element name has been added to the Cutoff labels.

Grade Copilot Autoload Options

The Autoload block model file in Vizex and Autoload volume file in Vizex options have been added to Grade Copilot on the Create Output tab.

The options enable you to automatically load the created Block Model and/or Volume files from Grade Copilot into Vizex.

Grade Copilot Job Cancellation

Cloud based Grade Copilot jobs can now be cancelled. The remaining training time is also now visible in the Tasks pane.

For the new cancellation procedure, the block predict task displays in the background tasks window and progress reporting is carried out enabling the estimation of time remaining:

The Stop button can be clicked to cancel the remote job and the task will cease processing until cancellation is complete.

Block Model Info

Minimum Block Size values have been added to the Block Model File Properties form.

The Min Size value for the Block Model file is taken from the Block model extents. These values may sometimes be blank, and therefore nothing is shown in the form.
