Profile Tolerance
A tolerance can be useful when you are using values in one of the coordinate fields to define each profile. It is used to account for small variations in these coordinates and maintain a straight baseline for each profile.
When you enter a profile tolerance, the baseline value (the first point in the profile) will be used until a point deviates from it by more than your entry. When this occurs, the baseline is broken and the point plotted in its actual location.
For example, if you enter a tolerance of 10, the values used to generate the profile baseline can vary by +/-10 grid units before the baseline position is adjusted.
The default tolerance is 0.
