Interactive Compositing
Interactive Compositing can be done against any Drillhole (Hatch, Value, Graph, Event, Structural Geology) layer that has numeric intervals. When you click and drag the mouse, the first interval is highlighted. As you 'follow' the hole, successive intervals are selected.
By holding down the CTRL key, multiple composite ranges can be selected, either by selecting individual intervals with the mouse, or by clicking and dragging the mouse.
The following information is reported in the Property Window:
Hole
The hole selected for compositing.
Intervals selected
The number of intervals selected as compositing intervals.
Average
The average of all the numeric fields in the compositing intervals.
Weighted Average
The average of all the numeric fields in the compositing intervals, weighted according to the total length of the compositing intervals.
The property window will only show composited values when the selection is restricted to 1 hole (intervals from multiple holes are not composited).
Missing intervals are not taken into account when compositing a hole. If you wish to perform compositing and include missing intervals (to dilute the value) then the missing intervals will need to be added to the file (with blank or zero values).
