System Substitution Parameters
When you define a query (on a database, a graphic report, or a data view, etc.) you can specify system substitutions whenever you need to reference the name of the following system objects:
- %ProfileName%
- %ObjectName%
- %TaskListName%
- %Task Name%
When you edit the properties of an object, you can also set system substitutions in the Substitutions page of the Property Editor:
When you create a system substitution parameter its properties are defined just like any other type of substitution. However, since these substitution values are derived by the system, you will not be prompted to select them, or even see them listed when other local substitutions are prompted for.
