Coal Field Geologists Offering
The Micromine Geobank For Coal Field Geologists offering (currently in Beta) offers selected features such as LAS Import, Depth Adjust and visualisations to Geologists logging in the field. This is done with a new subscription licence module: "Coal Logging".
The application uses local databases (no SQL Server install required). When the 'Coal Logging' module is detected, on first start-up, these databases are created using backups from C:\ProgramData\Micromine\Geobank\Deployment
The following backup files in C:\ProgramData\Micromine\Geobank\Deployment folder are restored to the (LocalDb)\SQL2019 SQL LocalDB instance: Field_Coal_Config.bak and Field_Coal_Model.bak.

Sync Manager
The Micromine Geobank For Coal Field Geologists offering (currently in Beta) includes a Sync Manager tool designed to synchronise data between a central Geobank system and a subsidiary system on a field device, with filtering to control subsidiary data.
All the metadata defining Sync Operations within the Sync Manager is managed and stored in the central database. Subsidiary databases link to these defined Operations. New versions can be defined and connected to if changes are needed.
During the Upgrade of the content database to version 23.0, the data structures required by the Sync Manager will be added into the GB schema.
Synchronisation
Setting up synchronisation from a subsidiary system to a central system for Micromine Geobank For Coal Field Geologists is done in the Backstage (File tab in Ribbon).
The workflow is: request authorisation, obtain approval, select from the available Operations, then set up the link to a local database.
When setting up a Synchronisation Link, the first step is to send an authorisation request from the subsidiary database to the central database. When authorised, the link can be created and used.
Data Table Names
The Sync Manager (Coal beta) allows the defining of table and field mappings between the central database and subsidiary databases. This caters for variances in naming. All fields in the selected tables must have a single equivalent.
In the Sync Manager, the central database (to which the subsidiary databases connect) can be labelled with a user-defined name so that it is easy to identify.
SQL Filters
The Sync Manager (currently beta for Coal only) uses user-defined SQL-based Filters to return primary key lists of the records on which to carry out a sync action.
The filters defined in the Sync Manager are validated during creation. Filters can be edited up until the point they are used in a Sync Operation definition; at this point they are locked. New versions can be defined then used.

Logging Manager
The Micromine Geobank For Coal Field Geologists offering (currently in Beta) includes a Logging Manager tool currently designed to work with data in the Australian CoalLog standard format.
During the upgrade of the content database to version 23.0, the data structures required by the Logging Manager will be added into the GB schema.
Metadata used by the Logging Manager is stored in a set of 'DT...' (Data Transfer) tables in the GB schema of the database model. These tables are created during the upgrade to version 23.0. Details of these tables can be found in Logging Manager: System Metadata.
Log Synchronisation
The Logging Manager tool facilitates data transfer to 'Update Logging Lookups' and 'Update Collars for Logging' from MM.GB to MM.GBFFT and then 'Load Completed Logs' from MM.GBFFT back to MM.GB.
The Logging Manager ribbon allows selection of a profile and actions to send planned data and updated lookups and retrieve completed logs.
Currently, this feature is only available to Beta users of the Micromine Geobank For Coal Field Geologists offering.
Logging Manager Admin
The Logging Manager Admin tool (currently only for Coal beta) allows Logging Profiles defined in MM.GBFFT to be selected and a link set up so that data can be transferred between a Datasource (a MM.GB database) and a Logging Profile.
The link between and a Logging Profile can be given an admin-defined name so that it is easy for Users to recognise and select.
Currently, this feature is only available to Beta users of the Micromine Geobank For Coal Field Geologists offering.
