On the Advanced page, you can set up some advanced options regarding the performance of the Excel Import.

Bulk Import

The Bulk Import settings are used to configure the bulk import method and conditions.

Import data using the Bulk Copy method

Select the check box to use the Bulk Copy method for the import. Bulk Copy uses a direct path load approach to efficiently load large amounts of data from a one database to another.

Maximum number of data errors displayed

Use the field to enter or select the maximum number of errors to be displayed by log for the import procedure. A value of 0 indicates unlimited errors can be displayed.

Abort when total error count reaches

Enter a number in the field provided for the total number of errors that can be encountered by the import before aborting the process. Any value over 0 activates the feature.

Processing

The Processing settings allow you to determine how many of the records in the import will be processed.

Process all records

Select the check box if all records are to be processed.

Process this many records

Enter a value in the field provided for the number of records to be processed by the import, where Process all records is not selected.

Archive Settings

The Archive settings are used to configure any required archiving of the processed import files.

Store processed files in an archive folder

If you select this check box, the processed import files will be stored in a folder you specify in the Path field.

Make archived filename unique

With this check box selected, each import archive will be uniquely named - preventing the overwriting of any previous archive file.

Delete file from source folder after archiving

If you select this check box, the processed file will be deleted from the import source once archived.
